Niko Medved Named Head Men's Basketball Coach

University of Minnesota Director of Athletics Mark Coyle announced today that Niko Medved has been named head men’s basketball coach. The University and Medved have agreed to a six-year term, which is pending Board of Regents approval and the completion of a background check. Highlights: Gopher Baseball Strikes Out 15 in Win Over High Point

Senior Justin Thorsteinson was dominant on Sunday, striking out 11 High Point hitters over five innings of work to help power the Minnesota Golden Gophers over the Panthers 8-2.
