SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State softball’s Chloe Woldruff, Star Cortez and Amai Hanta earned All- Summit League accolades on Tuesday, announced the league office with the release of the 2025 All-Summit League Softball Teams and Individual Awards.
Woldruff was selected to the All-Summit League Second Team as an outfielder, while Cortez and Hanta were named Honorable Mention All-Summit League.
Woldruff led the Bison during the regular season, hitting .315 on the year, with 40 hits, including five doubles, two triples and a home run. The right fielder batted in 17 RBI and scored 12 runs. The senior also had 11 walks, posting a team best .376 on-base percentage. Woldruff also recorded a hit streak of 13 games during the season, tied for ninth longest in NDSU’s Division I era. It is the second postseason award for Woldruff, who was named to the Honorable Mention All-Summit League team in 2023.
Cortez was second for the Bison this season, hitting .291, starting every game at center field during her sophomore campaign, as she picks up her first postseason honor. Cortez led the Bison with 44 hits on the year, including two triples and three doubles. The leadoff hitter scored 24 runs on the year and also had seven RBI. She was second on the team with 13 walks for an on-base percentage of .352. On the base path, Cortez recorded 11 stolen bases, including five in league play, which was tied for third.
Hanta hit .244 for the Bison in her first season. The freshman led the Summit League with 20 stolen bases on the year, including 12 in Summit League play. Hanta had nine extra-base hits on the season, including one home run and a team and league high four triples. She finished the season with 12 RBI and a team high 33 runs scored. She also had 18 walks and a .364 on-base percentage.
The Bison will return to action on Wednesday, opening up the Summit League Championship against North Dakota in the first round. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Brookings, S.D., with the winner moving on to face Omaha on Thursday.
