Bison Men Get Started at USD Tune-Up


VERMILLION, S.D. – The North Dakota State University men’s track & field team opened competition Friday on the first of two days at the USD Tune-Up.
 
Sam Roller was the runner-up in the javelin with a throw of 200-6 (61.12m), and freshman Zach Lilly took third at 179-1 (54.60m).
 
NDSU’s Zack Ramos was second in the shot put with a mark of 57-06.25 (17.53m). Sophomore Jack Packer placed third with 53-11.25 (16.44m).
 
Bison sophomore Ethan Moe finished third in the 1500m with a time of 3:48.31.
 
Carter Elde placed third in the 400m hurdles with a season-best time of 54.11.
 
Andrew Berg cleared 6-08.25 (2.04m) in the high jump to place fourth.
 
The USD Tune-Up will conclude on Saturday.
