Vikings sign QB Max Brosmer from University of Minnesota

He became the second QB the Vikings added on Saturday, after the Vikings traded for Sam Howell from the Seahawks.

EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings have added a player to their roster from the University of Minnesota once again.

The team signed former Gophers QB Max Brosmer as an undrafted free agent on Saturday.

Brosmer threw for 2,828 yards, with 18 passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns against six interceptions in his final year with the Gophers.

He became the second QB the Vikings added on Saturday, after the Vikings traded for Sam Howell from the Seahawks.

Neither Brosmer or Howell are expected to start for the Vikings, as J.J. McCarthy is expected to be healthy by the time the season arrives.

Last offseason, the team briefly added former Gophers running back Mohammed Ibrahim during the preseason.
