FARGO, N.D. – NDSU Athletics in partnership with Gate City Bank unveiled the newly renovated Sunderland Family Football Office Complex in the Fargodome at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday, April 21. The updates enhance the student-athlete and fan experience with immersive LED lighting, tactile design elements and interactive displays.
“This renovation is a significant milestone for NDSU football. It enhances our recruiting efforts and provides an environment that supports our athletes’ competitive edge,” said Matt Larsen, NDSU director of athletics.
Among the new features is dynamic color-changing LED lighting that creates an energetic atmosphere. The design integrates the same wheat stalks used on the team’s popular green helmets to reflect NDSU’s agricultural heritage, strengthening the connection with the local community.
Fans and recruits can engage with the new Bison championship legacy display, which includes the program’s 18 national championship trophies and the names of Bison Athletic Hall of Fame inductees to honor many of the legends who contributed to NDSU’s football success. Tactile design elements, such as football leather door handles, provide a sensory connection to the game and enhance the overall aesthetic of the updated space.
“The renovated football office is a testament to our commitment to excellence and provides the best experience for our athletes and fans. We are grateful for Gate City Bank being beside us and helping to propel us into the future,” said NDSU head football coach Tim Polasek.
The ribbon cutting kicked off the final week of NDSU spring football. The week concludes with the Green and Gold Spring Showcase at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, when the 2024 national champions will be honored with a ring ceremony prior to the team’s final spring workout at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.
Fans are also invited to shop the NDSU Locker Room Sale beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, April 25, on the second floor of the Fargodome across from the newly renovated Sunderland Family Football Office Complex.
