MESA, Ariz. – The North Dakota State women’s golf team is slotted in third place after the opening round of the 2025 Summit League Championship at Longbow Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.
Elise Hoven leads the Bison with a 72 (+1) after the first round of play and is tied for fourth place. She was even on 13 holes and posted two birdies on hole three and hole 10. Madi Hicks is also positioned inside the top 10 tied for eighth place with a 73 (+2). She carded four birdies over the first nine holes and was even on eight holes overall for the round.
Hannah Dunk and Norah Roberts both posted a 76 (+5) and sit tied for 14th place. Dunk recorded three birdies and was even on 10 holes, while Roberts was even on 11 holes with one birdie. Cora Larson closed out the group with an 82 (+11) to sit in 34th place and tallied a pair of birdies on hole one and hole 13.
As a team, the Bison notched a 297 (+13) and are slotted in third place behind South Dakota State with a 296 (+12). Denver is in first place with a 286 (+2) in the eight-team tournament.
