The North Dakota State men’s and women’s track & field teams will compete at three meets in southern California this week, with the Bison heading to Long Beach and Azusa on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Long Beach State University will host the Pacific Coast Invitational on Thursday, Apr. 17, and the Beach Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Azusa Pacific University will host the Bryan Clay Invitational on Thursday and Friday, Apr. 17-18.
NDSU currently has a total of seven performances by five different athletes ranked in the Top 50 on the NCAA performance lists for the outdoor season: Arienne Birch (3rd in high jump), Zach McGlynn (4th in decathlon, 32nd in high jump, and 38th in long jump), Grace Emineth (10th in long jump), Sam Roller (42nd in javelin), and Brooks Turner (45th in 110m hurdles).
In the USTFCCCA Event Squad Rankings, the Bison men are currently ranked second in the nation for the triple jump and sixth for the 110m hurdles. The NDSU women are sixth nationally in the long jump and eighth in the triple jump in the Event Squad Rankings.
Following this week’s meets, NDSU will return home to host the Bison Open on Thursday, Apr. 24, and Friday, Apr. 25, at the Terrence Dahl and Donna Beres Track Complex.
