SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State’s Zach McGlynn was named the Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
McGlynn won the decathlon at the Aztec Invitational with 7,697 points, breaking a 20-year-old North Dakota State record in the process. He currently ranks first in the NCAA this season.
The Stephen, Minn., native recorded seven career-best marks over the course of the decathlon, plus two additional outdoor personal-bests.
McGlynn’s high jump of 6-11.50 (2.12m) ranks him fifth in NDSU outdoor history. His pole vault clearance of 16-08.75 (5.10m) tied for seventh on the NDSU all-time outdoor list.
