Junior Kris Hokenson and junior Easton Richter each collected two extra base hits to help power the Minnesota Golden Gophers past the Purdue Boilermakers 10-8 on Sunday.
Junior Joe Sperry (2-0) got the win out of the bullpen for Minnesota (6-7, ). The right-hander went 4.2 innings, giving up one run on six hits, allowing one walk and striking out three. Senior Seth Clausen also pitched well, going 2.2 shutout innings without allowing a hit, walking three and striking out six.
