The North Dakota State University women’s track & field team will attempt to win its league-record 16th team title at the Summit League Indoor Championships this Friday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, Mar. 1, at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, S.D.
The Bison women have claimed 15 indoor team titles in 17 years since joining The Summit League in 2008. Combined with 15 outdoor team titles, the NDSU women have won 30 out of 33 team conference championships in the past 17 years.
NDSU won with 203.5 points last year – its most at the conference indoor meet since 2021. South Dakota came in second with 192.5 points.
The Bison women will look to score significant points in the horizontal jumps. NDSU has the league’s top five performers in the triple jump this season, as well as four of the top six in the long jump.
The meet will begin at 9:30 a.m. CT on both days with the multi-events. Field events will start at 3 p.m. on Friday and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Running events will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
