Bison Win in Brookings, 77-68

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Jacksen Moni scored 28 points to power the North Dakota State men’s basketball team to a 77-68 victory at South Dakota State on Wednesday evening. The win secured a 20-win season for the Bison, improving their record to 20-9 overall and 9-5 in The Summit League.
 
The Bison led for more than 38 of the game’s 40 minutes.
 
NDSU shot 47 percent for the game and made 12-of-32 (38 percent) from beyond the arc. The Bison committed just four turnovers in the contest.
 
Moni finished with 28 points, six rebounds and four assists. Tajavis Miller scored 15, Masen Miller had 14, and Jacari White added 13 for the Bison. Sophomore Noah Feddersen posted eight rebounds and three blocks.
 
The Jackrabbits were 12-0 at home this season entering Wednesday’s contest. The Bison victory snapped SDSU’s 16-game home win streak that began following NDSU’s overtime win in Brookings last season.
 
NDSU led by 12 at 46-34 early in the second half. SDSU pulled within three at 60-57 with eight minutes left, but White drilled a three and scored a layup to put the Bison back up eight.
 
When the Jackrabbits cut the deficit to four at 68-64, it was Tajavis Miller who converted a three-point play to pull the game back in NDSU’s favor.
 
NDSU will play North Dakota in Grand Forks on Saturday, with tip set for 1 p.m.
