Moe Breaks NDSU Mile Record in Nashville

 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – North Dakota State sophomore Ethan Moe broke the school record in the mile on Friday at the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt.
 
Moe (Williston, N.D.) ran 4:02.92 in the mile, breaking Travis Fitzke’s NDSU record of 4:03.35 from 2012. It was a new personal-best by nearly five seconds for Moe, and his second school record of the indoor season after he claimed the 1000m record in January.
 
Bison sophomore Jayden Williams won his section of the long jump at Vanderbilt with a personal-best 24-02.25 (7.37m). He now ranks eighth in NDSU indoor history.
 
Freshman Tyler Milkes ran 21.86 in the 200m dash, putting him at No. 9 on the NDSU all-time indoor list.
 
Andrew Berg cleared 6-7 (2.01m) in the high jump to place fifth at Vanderbilt.
 
At the SDSU Indoor Classic in Brookings, S.D., Jarod White won the pole vault by clearing 16-04.75 (5.00m). Paul Olson matched his PR at 14-05.25 (4.40m).
 
Zack Ramos was the runner-up in the shot put at SDSU, throwing 57-05.00 (17.50m).
 
Hunter Klimek led the Bison men in the 5,000m, finishing in 14:37.92. Jacob Knodle clocked 14:38.85.
 
Action will continue on Saturday at both meets.
