Any NFL player’s ultimate goal is to get a Super Bowl ring. No player, however, has done that with the Vikings. It should be noted, though, that the 1969 NFL Champion Vikings received a ring.
5 Former Vikings Won Super Bowl Rings
On Sunday, the Eagles and the Chiefs met for Super Bowl LIX, and the Eagles secured the victory with a dominant performance. Part of their roster are five ex-Vikings. The Chiefs employ zero. Four of Philadelphia’s ex-Minnesotans are on the practice squad. The good news for them is that they are also entitled to a Super Bowl ring, according to Article 51, section 15 of the CBA.
“Practice Squad players on a Club that wins the Super Bowl at the time of the Super Bowl will be entitled to a ring similar in appearance to the one provided to players on the Active/Inactive List but the Club, in its sole discretion, may provide any Practice Squad player with a ring of lesser value.”
But who are the players?
1. Lewis Cine
Undoubtedly the most prominent player on the list, safety Lewis Cine was the only former Viking on the 53-man roster of either team. He was inactive for the big game and didn’t appear in a game with the Eagles.

Cine, of course, was a controversial draft pick in 2022. He was Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s first choice, joining the Vikings as the 32nd pick. Picked to be the long-term solution at one of the two safety spots, Cine had a slow start and couldn’t enter the lineup. The Vikings started Cam Bynum next to Harrison Smith.
A few weeks into his debut season as a special teamer, Cine suffered a gruesome leg injury in the London game against the Saints, and his rookie season was over. Bynum and Metellus then had their breakout seasons, and Cine never came close to playing time.
Following his third preseason, the club said goodbye. He signed with the Bills’ practice squad and later joined the extensive group of former Georgia Bulldogs on the Eagles. While he will go down in the history books as a colossal bust, Cine will get a ring.
Cine has played in 11 games with the Vikings and the Bills, making one tackle.
2. Nick Muse

Another player from the 2022 draft class, tight end Nick Muse, was Kwesi’s final pick of his first class. He started his debut season on the practice squad, but he later earned a spot on the 53-man roster. Muse appeared in ten games in his first year and played two and four games with the Vikings in 2023 and 2024.
After the Vikings had been eliminated, the practice squad player was eligible to join other organizations. The Eagles signed him to the practice squad. Muse didn’t play for them.
He has suited up 16 times in his three-year career, catching one pass for 22 yards.
3. Parry Nickerson

Cornerback Parry Nickerson entered the league in the 2018 draft when the Jets spent a sixth-rounder to acquire the Tulane product. After bouncing around with the Jets, Seahawks, Jaguars, and Packers for three years, he signed with the Vikings in Mike Zimmer’s final year (2021). He played four games in that season.
His 2022 season under the new regime took place on the practice squad. Nickerson played five games with the Dolphins in 2023 and has been part of the Eagles practice squad since October 2024. Nickerson followed defensive coordinator Vic Fangio from Miami to Philadelphia.
4. Khari Blasingame

The fullback position is a dying breed, but the Vikings have employed C.J. Ham for nearly a decade. In the 2019 offseason, the team added undrafted rookie Khari Blasingame. He played quite well in the preseason, even becoming a popular target for preseason demon Kyle Sloter.
After the preseason, the Vikings stuck with Ham but kept their backup fullback on the practice squad. In November of his rookie season, the Titans picked him up, and he would be Derrick Henry’s lead blocker for three years. He then spent a couple of years with the Bears.
In October, the Bears said goodbye and the Eagles signed him to the practice squad in December. Unlike the other players on the list, Blasingame was active for the Super Bowl and received some snaps.
5. Dallas Gant

Linebacker Dallas Gant is an undrafted rookie who signed with the Vikings after the draft. Despite some excellent preseason performances, he didn’t secure one of the 53 roster spots, and the Vikings waived him. The Eagles signed him to their practice squad, where he has been since.
Gant appeared in two regular season games and played 26 snaps on special teams.
