OMAHA, Neb. – North Dakota State senior guard Jacari White scored 25 points, but the Bison men’s basketball team lost 85-74 to Omaha at Baxter Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Omaha improved to 10-1 in The Summit League to remain in first place. NDSU fell to 17-9 overall and 6-5 in league play.
The Bison trailed 41-37 at halftime before Omaha pushed the margin to 11 points in the second half. Down 69-60 with just under five minutes remaining, NDSU went on an 8-0 run capped by back-to-back threes from Jacksen Moni.
Omaha pulled away at the free throw line over the final three minutes.
White hit five three-pointers and led the Bison with four assists in the contest. Moni finished with 20 points and seven boards.
NDSU made 14-of-30 (47 percent) from beyond the arc.
The Bison will return home to face Oral Roberts on Thursday, Feb. 13, and Denver on Saturday, Feb. 15, next week.
