NDSU Men’s Golf Receives Top Honors in Summit League Preseason Poll

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State men’s golf team been tabbed with a first-place finish in the 2025 Summit League Preseason Poll, announced by the league office on Wednesday. Junior Rylin Petry was also named to the Golfers to Watch List by the Summit League.
 
Receiving 97 points, including eight of the 11 available first-place votes, NDSU was picked to win the Summit League. Oral Roberts claimed the second spot, with 89 total points and two first-place votes. South Dakota State rounded out the top three with 81 points and one first-place vote. Kansas City (75 pts) and St. Thomas (67 pts) concluded the top five.
 
Petry registered a collegiate career low of 67, along with a career low 54-hole score of 207 at the Monterrey Collegiate Classic, which slotted him ninth overall in NDSU history for 54-hole tournaments. The Fertile, Minn. native also tallied four top-10 finishes in the fall to help boost the Bison to two team victories.
 
NDSU will begin their spring semester schedule in Goodyear, Ariz., at the Loyola Intercollegiate Feb 16-18.
