NDSU Women Turn In Strong Performances at Bison Team Cup


FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women’s track & field team resumed the 2025 indoor season hosting the Bison Team Cup on Saturday afternoon at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility.
 
Senior Jacee Johannsen cleared a personal-best 13-09.25 (4.20m) to win the pole vault, moving her up to No. 2 in NDSU indoor history and Top 20 in the NCAA this season.
 
Sophomore Anika Larson ran a personal-best 7.47 to win the 60m dash, ranking her third on the NDSU all-time list.
 
In her return to the track after an award-winning cross country season, Reagan Baesler won a pair of events – the 800m in 2:14.72, and the mile in 4:53.11.
 
Sydney Arndt ran a season-best 8.44 twice — in both the prelims and final — to win the 60m hurdles.
 
Freshman Nyariek Kur (39-11.25 / 12.17m) and sophomore Joy Nnantah (38-08.25 / 11.79m) led a Bison sweep of the top six places in the triple jump.
 
Grace Emineth took first in the long jump with a mark of 19-11.75 (6.09m), and Kur was second at 19-06.75 (5.96m). Arienne Birch won the high jump, clearing 5-08.50 (1.74m).
 
Adison Kapitzke recorded a personal-best for second place in the shot put, throwing 48-07.50 (14.82m). Merrideth Spiers took second in the weight throw with a mark of 62-05.75 (19.04m).
 
Freshman Elise Wisnewski was the runner-up in the 200m in 24.64. Kaci Cooper took second in the 600m in 1:33.59.
