Vikings Sign 13 Players to Futures Contracts for 2025

Rypien was on Minnesota’s 53-man roster for the regular season before he was waived and signed to the practice squad. He led the scout team offense.

Scott joined the practice squad prior to the season but was not elevated for a game.

Tooley joined Minnesota’s practice squad in September but did not play in a game.

Murphy made his NFL debut in Week 14 against the Falcons and recorded a tackle and a QB hit. He also was elevated for Minnesota’s Week 18 game at Detroit.

Byrd suffered an injury while on the practice squad. He played in the preseason but not during the regular season.

Johnson participated in stints with the Vikings and Giants, and Watson was added to Minnesota’s practice squad in December.

Jackson appeared in three games, primarily on special teams, with Minnesota in 2023.

Thomas has spent the past two seasons on the practice squad, but he has not been elevated for a game.

Harris appeared in seven games with the Panthers in 2024 after playing in all 17 of 2023 with the Broncos.

Additionally, Minnesota signed cornerbacks Kahlef Hailassie and Reddy Steward to futures contracts.

Hailassie spent the past two seasons with Cleveland, appearing in 10 total games, and Steward played in one game for the Bears (at the Cardinals) in Week 9. The Vikings saw Hailassie in August during joint training camp practices and a preseason contest against the Browns.
