The only thing left the season for the Minnesota Gophers is to ensure head coach P.J. Fleck gets a celebratory mayonnaise bath. An appearance in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl against Virginia Tech awaits them. Beyond that though, the roster turnover begins and a pair of standouts are going pro.
Where do the Minnesota Gophers get picked?
Max Brosmer came in to quarterback the Minnesota Gophers offense after transferring from New Hampshire. He made quick friends with left tackle Aireontae Ersery. The standout bookend was among the best tackles in the country, and he’s now headed to the NFL Draft.

It was always expected that Ersery would shine as an NFL Draft prospect this season. At multiple points he has been projected as a first round talent.
Over the last three years, Ersery has started 37 games for the Gophers. He stands out in pass blocking scenarios, and he was a menace against opposing pass rushers this season. He should hear his name called during the opening night of the NFL Draft.
Cody Lindenberg joins Ersery in declaring for the NFL Draft. The Anoka, Minnesota native has an additional year of eligibility but now will go pro.

Over his five year collegiate career, Lindenberg played in 38 games for Minnesota. The Gophers linebacker racked up 94 total tackles in just 12 games this season. He picked up his second career sack and also intercepted a pass for the first time.
It remains to be seen where Lindenberg will be selected, but he should have a future at the next level. He has solid size and can certainly help himself during the pre-draft process at pro day and combine workouts.

Both players will give P.J. Fleck additional ammunition when looking to point recruits towards success stories. Fleck can certainly celebrate each pro pick he is able to generate.
