FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State wrestling returns home to the Scheels Center on Friday, welcoming in No. 10 Minnesota for the final home dual of the fall semester. The Bison and Gophers are set to get underway at 6 p.m. on Alumni Night for the NDSU wrestling program.
Tickets
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth ages 3-17 for Friday night’s dual. Tickets are available online at GoBison.com/tickets or by calling/visiting the Bison Ticket Office, located in the south lobby of the Sanford Health Athletic Complex. Tickets will also be available on Friday night at the door.
Coverage
The dual against the Gophers will also be streamed live on NDSU All-Access, as well as WDAY+. The dual will also have live results through TrackWrestling. Links for coverage will be available on GoBison.com.

The Series
The Bison and Gophers meet for the 24th time in program history on Friday, with the Gophers leading the series 21-2. The Bison have dropped all nine duals in NDSU’s Division I era, with the last win for the Bison coming on December 5, 1970, with NDSU winning 25-10 in Minneapolis.
Drexler in the Rankings
North Dakota State’s Gavin Drexler holds firm at No. 28 in the FloWrestling rankings and No. 32 in the InterMat rankings. Drexler made his debut in the Flo rankings last week and has held his spot in the InterMat rankings for three-consecutive weeks.
Wrapping Last Week
The Bison finished with several top three finishes at the Warren Williamson Daktronics Invitational. Senior Kyle Burwick (133) and freshman Michael Olson (141) led the way for the Bison, recording second-place finishes. Brendan Howes (165) would also record a second-place finish in his round robin group. Gavin Drexler (149) and Gabriel Schumm (157) recorded third-place finishes for the Bison, who took fifth overall out of seven teams in attendance.
The Bison at Home
NDSU holds a 288-127-8 record at home over the course of the program’s 67-year history. Since January of 2019, the Bison are 22-12 with nine of the 12 losses coming against ranked opposition.
Up Next
The Bison are scheduled for a three-week break from competition, as North Dakota State is slated to return to action on Sunday December 15 against Iowa State. The Bison will travel down to Humboldt, Iowa to face the Cyclones in their annual match hosted at Humboldt High School, with the dual set to get underway at 2 p.m.
