Former Indiana wide receiver Myles Price has gone from undrafted free agent to being added to the Minnesota Vikings 53-man roster.
After, Rondale Moore suffered a season-ending knee injury during the preseason undrafted free agent Myles Price stepped up this spring camp. Price impressed Minnesota’s coaching staff during training camp and the preseason, and he projects as the team’s starting punt returner.
In the Minnesota Vikings first pre-season game against the Houston Texans, Price scored the Vikings only receiving TD on a 3-yard pass. Price’s other catch of the day was a 15-yard catch on third-and-7.
Price’s second preseason game was solid where had two catches for 11 yards against the Patriots. The best player of the night for Price game on special teams though, when he ran a kick return back for 81 yards to the 11-yard line.
His third and final preseason game, Price caught a 9 yard pass and gained 28 yards on a punt return at the Tennessee Titans.
At Indiana, Price caught 38 passes for 466 yards and three touchdowns, ran seven times for 63 yards and a TD, and returned 23 punts for 289 yards with a long of 65 yards.
Price played one season at Indiana but started his career at Texas Tech where he appeared in 42 games with 25 starts. He totaled 61 receptions for 1,751 yards and ten touchdowns, while also adding 207 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, and 350 return yards.
The wide receiver and return specialist is listed at 5-foot-9 and 183 pounds and likely projects as a 2nd team receiver and special teamer in year one with Minnesota.
“Kick returner is my favorite position in the world. It’s backyard football,” Price said about being a returner. “It’s an opportunity to get the ball in your hands… as long as it gets in my hands, I feel like I got an opportunity every time.”

“[Price] loves football, very positive, he’s someone people wanna be around,” special teams coordinator Matt Daniels said. “He’s always the first one out here, ready to catch pre-practice JUGS, punts, always out here post-practice getting extra work. He understands and gets it as a young guy, what it takes to be a professional in this league.”
Price is one of seven undrafted free agents to make the Minnesota Viking 53-man roster, joining quarterback Max Brosmer, tight end Ben Yurosek, defensive lineman Elijah Williams, guard Joe Huber, outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss and inside linebacker Austin Keys.
