Barth and Jansen Named to Summit League Volleyball Players to Watch List

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Senior middle blocker Ally Barth and junior outside hitter Lauren Jansen have been named to the Summit League Volleyball Preseason Players to Watch list, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.

Barth has posted 190 blocks over three seasons and has recorded at least 60 blocks in each of the last two seasons. The Verona, Wis., native has also contributed 389 kills on the offensive side of the floor, which is the most of any returning player on the roster this season.

Jansen has tallied 371 kills and is averaging 2.41 kills per set over two seasons. The Plainfield, Ill., native has also notched 49 service aces, including a career-best and team-high 34 last season. Jansen led the Summit League with .45 service aces per set last season.

As a team, the Bison were picked to finish sixth in the Summit League Preseason Coaches’ Poll and garnered 32 points. South Dakota State earned the top spot with 62 points and six first place votes.

NDSU will open the 2025 season hosting Bowling Green on Friday. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m., at Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
