The State Fair of Texas getting unnecessary shots from one of the NFL mascots over the weekend.
Let’s be honest. The preseason in the NFL is not the most exciting games. Majority of the starters are on the bench and these games are basically used to get your 2nd and 3rd string players some reps so you can see how they do in real game scenarios to make your 53 man roster. Looks like Viktor the Viking is in regular season form talking smack to the Texans over the weekend, but honestly all of Texas was caught in the shrapnel.
This past Saturday, the Texans traveled up to Minnesota to take on the Vikings. Viktor decided to attack all of Texas when he called out the State Fair attendance for the year. Fun fact, he’s actually not wrong. The highest attendance day at the State Fair of Texas last year and let’s be honest every year, is the Red River Rivalry game. Last year, 212,003 attended the State Fair of Texas on the day. The only day with 200,000+ people. Turns out the Minnesota State Fair has several days like that.

Last year, The Minnesota State fair had 225,521 on August 30th, 207,078 on August 31, and 256,015 on September 1st. Yes, it is true that The State Fair of Texas had more people attend last year 2,385,855 compared to Minnesota’s attendance of 1,925,904. However, the Minnesota State Fair runs less days, so yes they average more people. Congratulations Minnesota?
Since Viktor is taking shots. Friendly reminder that he will never be the best mascot in Minnesota. Ragnar used to be one the best mascots in the NFL. A guy who dressed as a viking and would lead the team onto the field with a motorcycle. Instead we got this big headed smiling freak with his signs on the sideline. Bring back Ragnar! Apparently the 6.06 BILLION dollar franchise known as the Minnesota Vikings didn’t want to pay him.
