ST. LOUIS – The national champion North Dakota State University football team earned the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Academic Award for the 2024-25 school year.
This is the fourth time NDSU has won the conference’s team academic award. NDSU swept the All-Academic Award three straight years from 2017 through 2019 while also winning national titles each of those seasons.
North Dakota State’s 3.398 average team GPA during the 2024-25 school year is the second highest in MVFC history. The Bison have posted 3.0 or better team GPAs in 13 straight semesters and are coming off their two highest semester GPAs since beginning Division I competition in 2004.
“We emphasize competing, improving and being tough, and that includes the classroom,” said NDSU head coach Tim Polasek. “It is imperative that our players are always striving to excel, not only on the football field, but also socially and academically.”
Established in 2005 to recognize team academic achievements, the MVFC All-Academic Award is based on the average student-athlete grade-point average for the previous academic year. GPA calculations include all student-athletes who compete, practice or receive academic aid during the school year.
