Against Minnesota Crookston: Thursday’s game will be the 13th regular season meeting all-time between the Bison and Golden Eagles, with NDSU holding an 11-1 advantage in the series. The teams last played in the regular season on Nov. 25, 2014, at Scheels Arena in south Fargo. They met in an exhibition game on Nov. 2, 2022, at the Scheels Center, with the Bison winning 98-64.
Last Time vs. Minnesota Crookston: The Bison knocked down 15 three-pointers on their way to a 98-64 exhibition victory over Minnesota-Crookston on Nov. 2, 2022, inside the Scheels Center. Then-freshman Tajavis Miller drained six three-pointers for 18 points, and junior Grant Nelson added 17 points and eight rebounds. NDSU shot 51 percent for the game and made 15-of-34 (44 percent) from beyond the arc.
White Hot: Senior Jacari White posted career-highs in back-to-back games to open the season, scoring 22 points vs. Jamestown on Nov. 4 before pouring in 27 points vs. Illinois State on Nov. 7. Through five games, he is averaging 19.8 points.
Bombs Away: The Bison are averaging more than 30 three-point attempts per game this season. NDSU’s 39 three-point attempts vs. Illinois State were only one off the school single-game record of 40.
Point Guard Duo: NDSU’s point guard duo of junior Brennan Watkins and freshman Andy Stefonowicz have combined for 24 assists compared to just 9 turnovers this season.
Board Man: Luke Kasubke pulled down a career-high nine rebounds at Southern Illinois on Nov. 18.
Santa Clara Comeback: The Bison erased a 19-point deficit to come back for an 88-80 overtime win at Santa Clara on Nov. 13. Jacari White and Jacksen Moni both scored 19 points in the game, and the Bison made 15-of-32 (47 percent) from three-point range.
Santa Clara was picked third in the West Coast Conference preseason poll behind Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s.
Fifteen Treys: The Bison drained 15 three-pointers in their win at Santa Clara on Nov. 13 — only one short of their single game record of 16, which has been achieved four times.
Shooters Shoot: Jacari White is a career 40.9-percent three-point shooter, ranking him ninth on the NDSU all-time list.
