SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State senior Rylin Petry has been named the Kwik Star Summit League Men’s Peak Golfer of the Week, League officials announced Thursday.
Petry opened up the 2025-26 season for the Bison men’s golf program in triumphant fashion, claiming the Metropolis Intercollegiate individual title to lead NDSU to the team title in White Plains, New York. Petry fired rounds of 69, 70 and 72 to pick up his first career collegiate win. Petry carded one birdie in the final round and nine overall for the event, with four each in the first and second rounds, as he recorded a one-stroke victory for top medalist honors.
Thursday’s honor for Petry is the third Summit League Peak Golfer of the Week accolade for the Fertile, Minnesota native, after he won twice during the 2024-25 campaign last season.
Petry and the Bison return to action next week, competing at the Blue Jay Invitational September 15-16, hosted by Creighton at the Shadow Ridge Country Club in Omaha, Nebraska.
