The North Dakota State women’s golf team heads to Bozeman, Montana for the Yellowstone Intercollegiate hosted by Montana State on September 15-16 at Riverside Country Club.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The Yellowstone Intercollegiate will be a two-day, 54-hole tournament. The first two rounds will be played on Monday, with the final round teeing off on Tuesday morning.

THE FIELD
Hosted by the Montana State Bobcats, the Yellowstone Intercollegiate will feature 11 teams in the tournament. Along with the Bison, the field includes Idaho State, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, California State Northridge, California Baptist, Portland State, Idaho, North Dakota, and Montana.
THE COURSE
The Yellowstone Intercollegiate will be played at the Riverside Country Club in Bozeman, Mont. The club prides itself on being a member-owned, family-oriented country club that has opportunities to play golf, racquet sports, and even cross-country skiing in the winter months. The 18-hole golf course opened in 1959 and is a par-71 with a yardage of 6,770 from the back tees that is highlighted by its mountainous scenery and prominent coniferous trees. Riverside Country Club is home to tournaments of all skill levels, ranging from their annual Member-Guest Invitational, to collegiate events, and an annual RMSPGA Pro-Am tournament.
BISON AT THE YELLOWSTONE INTERCOLLEGIATE
The Bison will make their first appearance at the Yellowstone Intercollegiate in 2025, at the tournament’s inaugural year. This will be one of two Bobcat hosted tournaments that NDSU will attend during the 2025-2026 season.
LAST TIME OUT
NDSU enters the Yellowstone Intercollegiate following a first-place finish at the NDSU Invitational, marking the fourth consecutive season with a season opening victory. Lily Vincelli picked up her first career win as a Bison besting her career-low 36-hole score by 22 strokes. Norah Roberts and Madi Hicks both recorded top-three finishes, with Roberts earning the runner-up position and Hicks ending in a tie for third. As a team, the Bison placed five inside the top-10.
BISON COMPETING
The Bison will send six golfers down to the Yellowstone Intercollegiate. The golfers competing will be Madi Hicks, Lily Vincelli, Norah Roberts, Hannah Dunk, and Avery Bartels, with Cora Larson competing as an individual.
ON THE LINKS
– Lily Vincelli enters the tournament following her first career victory at the NDSU Invitational, where she shot a career-low round of 68, and career-low 36-hole score of 143. This will be Vincelli’s third tournament on the travel squad, her last being the Stampede at the Creek in April, where she tied for 24th.
– Norah Roberts heads into the Yellowstone Intercollegiate following a runner-up finish at the NDSU Invitational. Roberts had a strong sophomore year, leading the team with five rounds of par or better and recording four top ten finishes.
– Madi Hicks enters her fourth year on the Bison squad following a tie for third at the Summit League Championship, the highest Bison finisher at the event since 2018. Hicks logged a career-high six top ten finishes during the 2024-25 season, including a victory at the 2024 NDSU Invitational.
LOOKING AHEAD
Following the Yellowstone Intercollegiate, the Bison will take a full week off before heading to Iowa City, Iowa for the Diane Thomason Invitational. The tournament will be hosted by Iowa on their own Finkbine Golf Course on September 29-30.
