Two former North Dakota State football players landed new contract deals heading into the first week of the NFL season, which saw 18 former Bison football players in the league with 10 on active rosters, six on practice squads, and two on reserve.
Fullback Hunter Luepke signed a two-year, $7 million contract extension and is now the third-highest paid fullback in the NFL. Wide receiver Christian Watson signed a one-year, $13 million contract extension to remain with the Packers as he comes back from an ACL knee injury sustained in the final game of the 2024 regular season.
