Wild Get New Helmet Sponsor – Wilderness Walk

You know we’re still in the middle of summer when the Minnesota Wild getting a new helmet sponsor for their home games is something we actually discuss on this website.

Well, here you go, the Wild got a new logo to put on their helmets that we will eventually become used to and not even register a couple weeks into the season.

The Wild and Blaze Credit Union have announced a new multi-year partnership for this decal to appear on the Wild’s helmets at home games. Cool.

  • The Wild have signed forward Brett Leason to a professional try-out and the former Anaheim Duck will be taking part in training camp later this month. But, does the veteran forward have a chance to really make the Wild? [Hockey Wilderness]
  • Dylan Holloway is a cautionary tale for Liam Ohgren. [Hockey Wilderness]

Off the trail…

  • The Chicago Blackhawks are entering into the next phase of their rebuild where conversations about contract extensions of the young stars they tanked to draft, start to arise. Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks feel comfortable in ongoing talks, apparently. [NHL.com]
  • Sidney Crosby understands where all the trade speculation is coming from. Yeah, Sid, you’re on probably the worst team in the league and will be for the rest of your career. Leave, dude. [Sportsnet]
  • Multiple groups have met with the NHL regarding a new team in Atlanta. Third time’s the charm. [TheScore]
