FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State soccer wraps up a four-game home stand on Sunday, September 7, as the Bison welcome in UC Santa Barbara. Kickoff between the Bison and Gauchos is set for 12 p.m. at Dacotah Field.

Series History
When the Bison go up against the Gauchos on Sunday, it will be the first time that UC Santa Barbara and North Dakota State will meet on the soccer pitch.

Admission & Parking
Admission to all NDSU soccer home matches is FREE. Parking is available in Lot R west of Dacotah Field after 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays and all day on Sunday. Additional parking is available in Fargodome lots C and D.
Russmann Moves into NDSU Top 10
Morgan Russmann recorded her first brace of the season against Clarke, scoring a pair of goals to move into the top 10 in NDSU’s Division I history. The Bettendorf, Iowa native now has 14 career goals and sits tied with Brooklyn Dyce (2009-12) at No. 10.
Garcia strikes Twice in Career Night
Despite just missing a game due to injury, Isabel Garcia recorded a pair of goals in her return against Clarke. The sophomore transfer scored her first career goal, including the game winner, in her Bison debut in the season opener at Green Bay. She is tied with Morgan Russmann for the team lead in goals.
Zacher, Garrett Record First Two-Assist Games
Tyreese Zacher and Gabrielle Garrett both recorded their first career two-assist games in the Bison win over Clarke. Both players assisted on a Morgan Russmann goal, with Garrett setting up the first and Zacher setting up the second. The duo then led to the buildup of Hannah Arnold’s goal, with Zacher recording the primary assist and Garrett recording the secondary assist.
Stipp Joins Rare Company
Hannah Stipp recorded her third-straight cleansheet victory against Clarke, becoming just the fifth different Bison to do so in the program’s Division I history. Stipp is the first Bison shot stopper to record three-straight cleansheet wins, which matches the program record, since Monica Polgar did it for a second time in 2017.
Polgar also matched the record in 2016. Sierra Bonham (2015), Monica Morgan (2006) and Karli Kopietz (2005) are the other three Bison goalkeepers to record three-straight cleansheet victories.
Stadden, Arnold Pairing Goals and Assists
For the second time this season, Kendall Stadden and Hannah Arnold scored goals in the same game, with both recording tallies against Green Bay and Clarke. Along with their goals, Stadden and Arnold also recorded assists in both games, giving both Bison three-point efforts in the same two games. Stadden and Arnold both have two goals and three assists this season, tied for second on the Bison with seven points.
Goal Involvements
Seven new Bison have contributed to at least one goal this season with 14 total Bison involved in goals via scoring or assisting, already surpassing last season, which had 13 different Bison contribute in goal involvements.
Ellie Sanchez and Devon Kavanagh picked up their first assists of the season against Clarke, growing the list to 14.
Last week, Chloe Birch and Cora Still scored their first career goals. Freshman Geni LaMarche also recorded her first goal involvement with an assist on Birch’s goal. Maeva Lichtensteiger was also involved in her first goal as a Bison, recording a pair of assists over two games.
Russmann Hits Top 5 for Game Winners
Morgan Russmann scored her second game winner of the season against Clarke, moving her into a tie for 5th in NDSU’s DI history with six for her career.
Arnold Adds to Assist Tally
Hannah Arnold has recently picked up assists against Concordia-St. Paul and Clarke, growing her active career lead for NDSU in assists to nine. The junior is now just one away from the NDSU Top 10 in the Division I era. After two assists as a freshman, Arnold recorded four assists last season, and already has three assists this season.
Russmann Adding Assists to Game
Along with two goals in the win over Clarke, Morgan Russmann also set up another goal with an assist on Kendall Stadden’s second half tally. Russmann, who started the season with a pair of assists at Green Bay, is up to four assists on the season, already surpassing her three assists from her freshman campaign. Russmann is currently tied with Devon Kavanagh for second on the active list at NDSU.
Looking Ahead
After nearly a week off, North Dakota State returns to action on Sunday, September 14 at Florida Atlantic with the first of two non-conference road tests before Summit League play begins. The Bison take on the Owls at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT from FAU Soccer Stadium in Boca Raton, Florida.
