NDSU Soccer Hosts Clarke Thursday

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State soccer continues its four-game stretch at home with game three on Thursday, September 4, as the Bison welcome in Clarke. Kickoff between the Bison and Pride is set for 6 p.m. at Dacotah Field.

Series History
When the Bison go up against the Pride on Thursday, it will be the first time that Clarke and North Dakota State will meet on the soccer pitch.
 
Upcoming Promotions
September 4th – Student Org Night: Various NDSU student organizations will be in attendance and students will have the opportunity to discover how to stay involved on campus, all while supporting Bison Soccer.
 
September 7th – Camper Day: We welcome back our NDSU soccer camp participants.
 
Admission & Parking
Admission to all NDSU soccer home matches is FREE. Parking is available in Lot R west of Dacotah Field after 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays and all day on Sunday. Additional parking is available in Fargodome lots C and D.
 
First Career Goals
Last week, the Bison had two first-time goal scorers. Cora Still became the fifth and latest Bison to score their first career goal this season, as she headed in the game’s only goal in a 1-0 win over MSU Moorhead. In the win over Concordia-St. Paul, Chloe Birch scored in the 26th minute of a 3-0 victory.
 
At Idaho State, Mikayla Carkhuff added her name to the list with a rocket shot from 35 yards out into the top right corner in the 2nd half. Kendall Stadden and Isabel Garcia both scored first-career goals in the season-opening win at Green Bay.
 
Goal Involvements
Seven new Bison have contributed to at least one goal this season, with 12 total Bison involved in goals via scoring or assisting through six games. Last season, 13 different Bison contributed in goal involvements over 19 games.
 
Last week, Chloe Birch and Cora Still scored their first career goals. Freshman Geni LaMarche also recorded her first goal involvement on Birch’s goal, with a secondary assist in the buildup.
 
Maeva Lichtensteiger was also involved in her first goal as a Bison, recording an assist with the corner kick on Gabrielle Garrett’s header. She then added a second assist against MSU Moorhead on Still’s goal.
 
Looking Ahead
North Dakota State wraps up the four-game home stand on Sunday, September 7, as the Bison welcome in UC Santa Barbara. Kickoff between the Bison and Gauchos is set for 12 p.m. at Dacotah Field.
