FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State has signed a home-and-home agreement for two football games with Southland Conference opponent Incarnate Word in the 2026 and 2028 seasons.
NDSU will travel to San Antonio to play UIW in the 2026 season opener on Saturday, Aug. 29. The Bison will host UIW at the Fargodome in the 2028 season opener on Saturday, Aug. 26.
The Bison and Cardinals have played twice previously, including a 35-32 NDSU victory in the 2022 FCS semifinals.
UIW was the opponent for NDSU’s second appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay in 2014. The Bison won that game 58-0.
This completes the 2026 non-conference schedule for NDSU, which includes a home game with East Tennessee State on Sept. 5 followed by a road trip to Central Arkansas and a home game against Austin Peay on Sept. 19.
