Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores admitted to being “blown away” by New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson, according to Devin McCourty, via Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan.
Flores’ defense got to see the rookie up close at two joint practices last week, and it’s clear the former Ohio State standout made a major impression on the Vikings’ coaching staff. One of his best plays came on a wheel route, when he caught a pass from Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and sprinted up the sideline 70 yards for a touchdown.

Henderson picked right back up where he left off in the preseason game, rushing the ball four times for 20 yards and a touchdown. His ability to make plays as a runner, receiver and pass-blocker is astonishing for a player who hasn’t even taken his first regular-season NFL snap yet.
Henderson has gone from a potential rookie depth piece to a player who could potentially lead the running back room this year.
He might one day be looked back on as the steal of the entire 2025 NFL draft.
