North Dakota State University women’s track & field athlete Arienne Birch will compete in a pair of high-profile championship events in August.
Birch will compete in the high jump at the Canadian Track & Field Championships this Saturday, Aug. 2, in Ottawa. She enters the meet tied for the top performance by a Canadian woman in the high jump this year, clearing a school record 6-01.25 (1.86m) during the 2025 outdoor season for NDSU.
The event is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. CT on Saturday.
The rising junior has also been selected to represent Canada at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay, on Aug. 18-22. The Junior Pan American Games are open to qualified athletes under 23 years old from North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
Birch finished the 2025 season ranked 11th in the NCAA for the high jump outdoors. She has won all four Summit League high jump titles in her first two seasons at NDSU – two indoor and two outdoor.
