ATLANTA, Ga. – North Dakota State baseball signee Tyson Moran was selected by the Kansas City Royals with the 398th pick in the 13th round of the 2025 MLB Draft on Monday afternoon.
Moran, an incoming freshman for the Bison, is a left-handed hitting shortstop out of F.E. Madill Secondary School in Wingham, Ontario, Canada. Moran, who plays for the Great Lake Canadians, was the Futures Game MVP for the Toronto Blue Jays Showcase last September and was named the No. 200 prospect by Perfect Game leading up to the draft.
Moran becomes the 15th NDSU player selected in the MLB Draft dating back to 1968. It is the fifth-straight year that NDSU has had a player selected in the MLB Draft and the ninth Bison overall since 2013.
