While the Minnesota Vikings are getting resting for the next month or so, as they await the start of training camp next month, and eventually the start of the 2025 NFL regular season, which is now just a few months away.
It’s a perfect time of the year for NFL players, coaches and other employees to deal with some of their real-world responsibilities, before the grind starts back up in July. Of course, some real-world responsibilities require more attention than others.
Not the busy offseason Jordan Addison was hoping for
And for third-year Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison, there’s a whole lot going on in that department this summer. Of course, most of it is self-induced, after Addison was allegedly found asleep at the wheel of his vehicle near LAX Airport around this time last year, then subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI.
After pleading not-guilty in November, Addison was in court earlier this week, where he received a trial date of July 15. That means, next month in a Los Angeles County courtroom, the state of California will try to prove its Driving Under the Influence case against the 23-year-old.

With all of this going on, I’d imagine Jordan Addison is trying to lay low for the next few weeks, in hopes that he can stay out of headlines between now and what he hopes will be a quiet ending to this chapter of his life.
But that’s difficult to do sometimes when your dad is named Rolando Addison Sr., who likes to hang out on X like many of us, posting his football opinions and even sparring with average Joe Vikings fans. This time around, however, it wasn’t Rolando’s smack-talking that has made the headlines.
Addison’s dad posts his Minnesota Vikings jersey for sale?
It all started at 4:40 PM CDT on Wednesday, when a photo of a framed, signed and game-used Jordan Addison Minnesota Vikings jersey was posted on Rolando Addison’s X account (@RolandoAddison) with the caption, “Jordan’s rookie season last home game jersey signed!!! DM me“.

At this point in his legal proceedings, I’d imagine Jordan Addison wants nothing more than to put his DUI behind him and focus on football, especially given how crucial the 2025 season is for his financial future.

In his first two NFL seasons, the former USC Trojan and Pitt Panther has put up a total of 1,786 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns (32 games). If he can make year three his best yet, Jordan will have the world at his fingertips this time next year, when he and the Minnesota Vikings sit down to discuss his future.
For all of those reasons and more… why would Addison’s dad be selling a key memento to his professional memorabilia collection, and one that you’d think would have all sorts of sentimental value for his father?
Rolando Addison Sr claims he was hacked
Well, nobody was quite sure… until 23 hours later, when Rolando tweeted that his X account had been hacked, noting that “there’s not enough money any of you could give me for this gift from my kid!“.
My page was hacked there’s not enough money any of you could give me for this gift from my kid! FREE3 season 3 loading❤️💯 https://t.co/ckIyMarwOh

Ahh, going with the old, “I was hacked” excuse, huh? that’s the oldest trick in the “oh shit, I shouldn’t have posted that” internet books. Of course, Rolando has been a STAUNCH supporter of Jordan since long before anyone else really knew he existed.
So, it’s easy to believe his account was taken over, prior to the jersey being posted for sale. In fact, it’s much more believable than Rolando actually stooping low enough to pos his son’s jersey for a little short-term cash. At least, let’s hope so.
Because today, Rolando followed up on his original “I was hacked” tweet with more details on the situation. Addison Sr. let it be known that his phone wasn’t hacked by Russia, China or some mad techi with too much time on their hands.
The story of Addison’s “hacked” jersey sale changes changes…
Instead, Rolando says his phone was “taken by someone close to me”, adding that he’s “old school” and doesn’t have a password on his phone. He even went on to admit that “SHE controlled my X page that day and wiped out my cash app”. Tough…
My phone was taking by someone close to me and I’m old school I don’t have a code on my phone so SHE controlled my X page that day and wiped out my cash app!😡 https://t.co/1sbRc3fzSW

So, what have we learned today, ladies and gentlemen? Certainly a few things. First, we don’t think Jordan Addison’s dad posted his first ever game-worn jersey for sale, though that is currently a ‘he said, she took’ situation.
But most importantly, be careful who you trust and ALWAYS lock your phone.
