The NBA season ended earlier than expected for Anthony Edwards, but the Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard is making sure he remains the most hardworking player during the offseason — just like he promised after the Timberwolves were defeated by the Oklahoma City Thunder, who advanced to the NBA Finals. NFL team Minnesota Vikings general manager, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, has revealed that Edwards is currently working with the NFL franchise.

Minnesota Vikings general manager is in awe of Anthony Edwards

During his appearance on With The First Pick podcast on CBS, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said, “You know what? Anthony Edwards just came through yesterday. He was doing some offseason work. In person, for him to move like that, not until you walk up to him, you won’t notice how big he is.”As if in awe, Mensah also said about Edwards, “He would be pretty interesting as a big-bodied wide receiver, maybe an H-back. He’s a talented athlete, and it was so cool to see him up close. He had the same type of personality that Justin (Jefferson) had.”Edwards, 23, was visibly disappointed and made a vow while speaking to the media after the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 124–94 in Game 5 to advance to the NBA Finals. He said, “I’m going to work my butt off this summer. Nobody’s going to work harder than me this summer, I’ll tell you that much. I’ll try to make it happen again.”“They were the better team. They came out and beat us, punched us in the face and we lost the game, we lost the series,” he had said while sharing his emotions after the loss. This season, Edwards averaged 27.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of 44.7%. The numbers could be even better next season if he returns as an even more complete player after the offseason. Also Read: Tim Legler has an advice for Anthony Edwards: “He needs to have a Michael Jordan-like approach, a Kobe Bryant-like approach”The Oklahoma City Thunder are now set to face the Indiana Pacers in a crucial Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
