NDSU Soccer Announces Additions to Recruiting Class

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State soccer and head coach Mike Regan announced additions to the 2025 signing class on Wednesday, June 11, with the Bison recruiting class growing to 14.
 
Along with the five freshman announced on national signing day on November 14, the Bison have added one more freshman, along with two junior college transfers and six transfers from four-year institutions.
 
Chloe Birch | Fr. | F/MF | Naperville, Illinois | Metea Valley HS
Birch comes to the Bison from Metea Valley High School, along with club soccer at Chicago FC United. In her only season with Metea Valley, Birch helped lead the Mustangs to a 13-4-2 record and a regional final appearance with nine goals and four assists. Birch earned all-conference honors and also helped the Mustangs win the BodyArmour Series Championship. Birch was named to the Prep Soccer Illinois High School Top 40 Player Rankings. Birch will pursue a degree in Nursing at NDSU and was an Indian Prairie Scholar and academic all-conference in 2024 and 2025.
 
Mikayla Carkhuff | So. | MF | Honolulu, Hawaii | Onalaska HS/Florida International

Carkhuff will join NDSU in Fargo after two years at Florida International. The midfielder appeared in five games in her first season on the field with the Panthers before missing last season. While in Miami, Carkhuff also played for FC Miami City. Prior to a move to Wisconsin and Onalaska High School, Carkhuff was a three-time USYS Hawaii State Champion. Once moving to Wisconsin, Carkhuff was selected for the 2023 Rush National Team, as well as the 2023 USYS ODP National Team. She was also a 2023 WIAA State Champion in the 4×400 relay in track & field at Onalaska. Carkhuff will pursue a degree in Hospitality Management Services at NDSU.
 
Isabel Garcia | So. | F/MF | Grimes, Iowa | Des Moines Christian School/Indiana State
Garcia comes to NDSU after two seasons at Indiana State, where she appeared in 15 games as a freshman before missing the 2024 season. Garcia finished her prep career scoring 58 goals and dishing out 41 assists for Des Moines Christian School. Garcia garnered Class 4A First Team All-District, First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State honors for three-straight seasons. Garcia helped the school to its first-ever state championship in 2022. She also played for Sporting Iowa, where she helped the team capture the 2019 U15 Iowa State Soccer Cup Championship as well as the 2020 16U Iowa State Soccer Cup Championship. Garcia will pursue a degree in Applied Medicine at NDSU after earning Dean’s List accolades all four semesters at Indiana State.
 
Cameron Amaral | Jr. | D | Pleasanton, California | Amador Valley HS/San Joaquin Delta College
Amaral appeared in nearly every game for San Joaquin Delta College over the last two seasons, making 41 appearances, including 32 starts as a defender. Amaral scored a goal and an assist as a freshman, and helped the Mustangs to 23 shutouts over two seasons on the backline. Amaral, who captained the Mustangs as a sophomore, earned all-Big 8 Conference honors as a sophomore after Big 8 All-Tournament honors during her freshman campaign. Amaral will pursue a degree in Business Administration at NDSU. Her cousin, Vanessa Amaral, currently plays for the USA Beach Soccer Women’s National Team.
 
Kendall Stadden | Jr. | F | Blaine, Minnesota | Blaine HS/Minnesota
Stadden comes to NDSU after two seasons at Minnesota, making eight appearances for the Gophers, including six last season. Prior to Minnesota, Stadden was a four-year varsity letter winner in soccer and track at Blaine. She also lettered in varsity football as kicker for the Bengals during her junior and senior years, setting the school’s career record for Extra point field goal percentage. Stadden was named Northwest Suburban All-Conference, All-Metro and All-State in 2020, 2021 and 2022 and was recognized as a Prep-Soccer All-American in 2021 and the 2022 Star Tribune Player of the Year. In 72 career high school games, she scored 77 goals and totaled 174 points, both Blaine school records. She earned spots on the ECNL All-Conference Second Team in 2020 and 2021 and was named to the USYS Great Lakes Conference Best XI in 2018. Stadden was also invited to the Olympic Development Program State, Region, and National Camps in 2018. Her sister Isabelle swims collegiately at Cal and is a member of the USA National Team.
 
Cora Still | Jr. | D | Chandler, Arizona | Perry HS/Scottsdale CC
Still started all 36 games on the back line for Scottsdale CC over the last two seasons helping lead the Fighting Artichokes to 15 cleansheets, while also contributing four goals and three assists on the offensive end. Still helped Scottsdale to the regionals as a freshman and then to the NJCAA National Championships in 2024. She earned ACCAC all-conference honors both seasons and was named all-NJCAA Region 1 first tam and an honorable mention NJCAA All-American. Still’s father, Randy, was a baseball pitcher for the Bison from 1987-91. Her mom, Lori, played basketball at Minnesota and her brother plays baseball for New Mexico. Still, who was First Team Academic All-ACCAC at Scottsdale, will pursue a degree in Nursing at NDSU.
 
Maeva Lichtensteiger | Sr. | MF | Brussels, Ontario | Listowel District Secondary/Aquinas College
Lichtensteiger will join the Bison for one final season after three years at Aquinas, becoming one of the Saint’s top players in school history. Over three seasons, Lichtensteiger played in all 67 games with 50 starts, scoring a total of 33 goals and 24 assists, for 90 career points. The Canadian helped Aquinas to a 55-5-7 record during her career, including an undefeated record in league play at 31-0-3. In her three seasons, Lichtensteiger is in the Aquinas top five in nearly every major offensive statistical category, with six school records. She garnered multiple First Team NAIA All-American honors, the first at Aquinas, and helped the program to conference titles each season, along with two conference tournament titles. She led the Saints to the NAIA National Tournament all three years, once reaching the Round of 16 and twice the Quarterfinals. Coming of 17 goals and 16 assists last season, Lichtensteiger will pursue a degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition at NDSU.
 
Hana Masuko | Sr. | D | Sapporo, Japan | Hokkaido Kitahiroshima HS/Texas-Tyler, Keiser, Tyler JC
Masuko will wrap up her career at NDSU after transferring from Texas-Tyler last season, where she started all 17 games and scored one assist from the backline, while helping to secure 10 cleansheets. She finished third on the team with over 1200 minutes played in her only season for the Patriots. Prior to UT Tyler, Masuko had four assists in 20 games at Keiser, leading the NAIA program to nine shutouts and a trip to the NAIA National Championship final site. Before Keiser, Masuko was an NJCAA All-American at Tyler Junior College in Texas. In her first season with the Apache, Masuko started 22 of the 24 games, scoring a goal and helping TJC to 18 cleansheets and a national championship game appearance. In her sophomore season, she garnered All-Region and multiple First Team All-American honors, with 16 more cleansheets and another trip to the NJCAA National Championships. The NJCAA Scholar All-American will be pursuing a degree in Business at NDSU.
 
Robyn Moody | Sr. | MF | Aveley, England | Barking Abbey School/Delta State
Moody will come to Fargo after four seasons at Delta State in Mississippi, with the England native playing three seasons and missing the 2023 season due to injury. Moody played in 51 career games with 21 starts, mostly in the midfield. She scored six career goals and also had six career assists. Moody helped lead Delta State to a school record in wins last season, as well as trips to the postseason all three years she played. After two goals and two assists as a freshman, Moody scored four goals as a sophomore. In her return from injury, Moody had three assists last season. Prior to Delta State, she made her FA Cup debut and scored in her League Cup debut at age 16 for Billericay Town FC. Moody graduated from Delta State with a 4.0 and received GSC Academic honors all four years with the Lady Statesmen. She will pursue a Master’s Degree in Sport Management at NDSU.
