SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The North Dakota State men’s and women’s track & field teams led The Summit League with nine Academic All-League selections, it was announced Tuesday, June 10, by the conference office. The recipients were chosen based on their academic and athletic performances during the 2025 outdoor season.
The Bison men had five honorees – sophomore Peter Dryburgh, junior Zach McGlynn, and seniors Hunter Merkley, Sam Roller and Jacob Van Dusseldorp.
Four NDSU women received the honor – sophomores Ella Gardner and Marvelous Onwualo, junior Annabel Thorstenson, and senior Merrideth Spiers.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), and have completed at least one full academic year at the current institution. The award is voted on by the sports information directors and faculty athletic representatives of the league schools.
