FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men’s basketball program has added transfer Emil Skyttä to its 2025 recruiting class, head coach David Richman announced Thursday.
Skyttä is a 6-foot-5 wing originally from Helsinki, Finland, who played the past two seasons at Sacramento State.
“Emil is an athletic, versatile, and physical addition who makes us better with his experience and basketball IQ,” said Richman. “His defensive instincts and tenacity can help us immediately.”
Skyttä started 49 games at Sacramento State from 2023-25 and comes to NDSU with two seasons of eligibility remaining. He averaged 8.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists last season, leading the Hornets in minutes per game.
Skyttä was also a member of the Finnish U18 national team in 2020 and 2021.
