Bison Women Get Started at NCAA West Prelims Thursday


FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women’s track & field team will have nine entries competing at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds on Thursday, May 29, and Saturday, May 31, in College Station, Texas.
 
Sophomore Arienne Birch is the top-ranked Bison entering the meet at No. 7 in the West for the high jump, followed by senior Grace Emineth at No. 16 in the long jump.
 
Freshman Nyariek Kur (triple jump & long jump) and sophomore Adison Kapitzke (shot put & hammer throw) will both compete in a pair of events for the Bison.
 
The top 12 finishers in each event at the Preliminary Rounds will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 11-14.
