Bison Men Open Competition at NCAA West Preliminary Rounds Wednesday


FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men’s track & field team will have seven entries competing at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds on Wednesday, May 28, and Friday, May 30, in College Station, Texas.
 
Sam Roller will be the top-ranked Bison entering the meet at No. 20 in the West for the javelin. NDSU will send three competitors in the 110m hurdles – Blake Nyenati, Brooks Turner, and Brock Johnsen.
 
Each of the Bison men will be making their first appearance at the NCAA West Prelims, with the exception of Zack Ramos, who qualified previously in the shot put and discus while competing at Idaho State in 2022 and 2023.
 
The top 12 finishers in each event at the Preliminary Rounds will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 11-14.
