FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men’s basketball program added senior transfer Markhi Strickland to its 2025 recruiting class, head coach David Richman announced Thursday.
Strickland is a 6-foot-6 wing who will arrive at NDSU after spending two seasons at Western Michigan from 2023-25. He started his college career with two seasons at Saint Louis from 2020-22 and played one year at Victoria College in Texas in 2022-23.
“Markhi will bring athleticism, toughness, and the versatility to score in a variety of ways,” said Richman. “His game experience and strong work ethic will add to our program, and we’re thrilled he’s joining the Bison Family.”
Strickland, originally from Miami, Fla., was the third-leading scorer for Western Michigan last season with 11.3 points per game on 48-percent shooting. He started all 32 games for the Broncos and led the team in minutes played.
Strickland played in five games at WMU in 2023-24 before missing the remainder of the season due to injury and retaining the year of eligibility.
