NDSU Men No. 4 in National Event Squad Rankings for 110m Hurdles, Triple Jump

FARGO, N.D. — The North Dakota State men’s track & field team has two event groups ranked fourth in the latest outdoor event squad rankings released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) this week.

The event squad rankings rank every Division I team within each single event, averaging the best performances from the top four athletes at each school in each event.

The Bison men are No. 4 nationally in both the 110m hurdles and triple jump in the latest rankings.

NDSU’s Brooks Turner, Blake Nyenati, Brock Johnsen and Trey Heinrich combine for an average time of 13.86 in the 110m hurdles this season, trailing only Texas Tech, Houston and Grand Canyon in the national rankings.

Turner and Nyenati both broke the previous NDSU school record last weekend, and Johnsen established the fourth-fastest time in school history.

In the triple jump, Adam Dugger, Reece Grosserode, Carlton Mukurazita and Lorenzo Andrews combine for an average mark of 48-10 (14.88m).

The Bison hurdlers are directed by assistant coach Reece Vega, while the jumpers are coached by assistant Clayton Pritchard.
