FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State women’s basketball head coach Jory Collins has announced the addition of Lily Niebuhr to the 2025 signing class.
Niebuhr joins the Bison after spending the last three seasons at Indiana State.
“We’re excited to have Lily join us,” said Collins. “She’s looking for a fresh start and we’re looking for some physicality and depth in our front court. Lily will have a great opportunity to impact us in the paint on both ends of the floor. It’s a great fit for both of us and we can’t wait to get her here!”
Niebuhr appeared in 55 games over her first three seasons at Indiana State after taking a medical redshirt last season. The Jordan, Minn., native pulled down 91 rebounds, including a career-best 46 in the 2023-24 season. Niebuhr also played for Chaska High School and helped her team to multiple conference championships and won the 2020-21 state championship. She was named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention list in her senior season.
Niebuhr joins Jocelyn Schiller, Karrington Asp, Sophie Hawkinson and McKenna Johnson in the 2025 signing class.
NDSU finished the 2024-25 season with a 21-12 overall record and advanced to the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) Great 8 round for the first time in program history. The Bison also posted their second straight 20-win season for the first time since 2002-05.
