FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women’s track & field team hosted the NDSU Tune-Up for the final regular season meet of the 2025 outdoor season on Friday.
Senior Jacee Johannsen cleared an outdoor personal-best 13-08.25 (4.17m) to win the pole vault, ranking second in NDSU history.
Sophomore Marvelous Onwualo took second in the 100m hurdles, running a personal-best 13.69 to rank sixth all-time at NDSU. Freshman Laney Songster is now 11th-fastest in school history after running 13.93.
Adison Kapitzke threw 51-03.75 (15.64m) to win the shot put and move up to ninth in NDSU outdoor history.
Sophomore Arienne Birch cleared 5-11.50 (1.82m) to win the high jump. Five Bison women cleared 5-04.25 (1.63m) or better in the meet.
NDSU’s Grace VanErp won the triple jump with a personal-best leap of 39-11.25 (12.17m). Grace Emineth won the long jump with a jump of 20-01.75 (6.14m).
Freshman Riika Tirkkonen won the 100m dash in 11.71 – the second-fastest time of her career.
Senior Merrideth Spiers won the hammer throw with a personal-best 192-6 (58.68m) to rank 11th in NDSU history. Annabel Thorstenson was second with a personal-best 189-10 (57.86m), and Ashley Stewart took third with a PR of 180-5 (54.99m).
Spiers also won the discus with a throw of 155-6 (47.41m).
The Bison will compete at the Summit League Outdoor Championships in Vermillion, S.D., on May 15-17.
