JAMESTOWN, N.D. – Longtime North Dakota State University football coach Randy Hedberg will be inducted into the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday, June 21, at the Jamestown Civic Center.
The hall of fame banquet is open to the public and begins at 5 p.m. with a social and silent auction. Tickets cost $35 in advance ($40 after June 14) and are available at the Jamestown Civic Center or by calling (701) 252-4835.
Established in 1992, the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame banquet is held biannually. This year’s class includes four inductees.
Hedberg, originally from Parshall, N.D., is joined in the 2025 hall of fame class by Carrington’s Sheri Kleinsasser Stockmoe and Bismarck’s Greg Eslinger and Tim Olson.
Hedberg retired from a 45-year coaching career after the 2024 season. He spent his final 11 years at NDSU, where he coached four NFL quarterbacks and won seven national championships and eight conference championships with the Bison.
Other former Bison previously inducted into the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame include women’s track and field star Whitney Carlson (2020), football’s Phil Hansen (2002), women’s basketball coach Amy Ruley (2000), and football coach Ron Erhardt (1996).
