Highlights: Gopher Softball Sweeps Pittsburgh

Junior Syndey Schwartz threw a three-hit shutout and Taylor Krapf was 3-3 with four RBI to lead the Golden Gophers past the Pittsburgh Panthers, 8-0, in five innings.

Schwartz (8-14) went the distance for Minnesota (17-28), giving up three hits, walking one and striking out six.

Krapf recorded eight total bases in the game thanks to a pair of doubles and a home run, the 40th of her career. She became the seventh player in Gophers history to reach 40 homers, and it was her team-leading 15th of the year, tying for seventh-most in a season in program history. The two doubles bring her career total to 36, putting her ninth in program annals.
