Three Bison Earn All-Summit League Women’s Golf Honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Freshman Avery Bartels was named to the Summit League Women’s Golf All-Freshman Team, while senior Elise Hoven and sophomore Norah Roberts earned a spot on the Honorable Mention list, the league office announced on Friday morning.

Hoven paced the Bison this season with a team-low and career-best 74.3 scoring average over 23 rounds. The Grafton, Wis., native posted four top 10 finishes, including three inside the top five. She also earned a team-best two victories after winning the NDSU Invitational on Sept. 4 and the Stampede at the Creek on April 8.

Roberts ranked second on the team with a career-low 74.8 scoring average over 23 rounds. The Caledonia, Wis., native opened the season with three straight top 10 finishes and closed out the year with four total. Roberts posted a season-best tied for third place at the NDSU Invitational on Sept. 4.

Bartels recorded a 77.6 scoring average over 15 rounds this season. She opened the season with a season-best sixth place finish at the NDSU Invitational on Sept. 4. The Oxbow, N.D., native also finished tied for 20th place at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Oct. 23 after carding a season-low 54-hole total of 215 in the 92-player field.
