Minnesota received contributions from every part of their lineup, as all nine starters reached base safely, helping the Golden Gophers put 12 runs on the board and beat the St. Thomas (MN) Tommies 12-2 Wednesday.
Senior Justin Thorsteinson (2-3) got the win out of the bullpen for Minnesota (13-17). The left-hander went two shutout innings, giving up two hits. Sophomore Kyle Remington also pitched well, going two shutout innings without allowing a hit, walking none and striking out two.
