NDSU Women’s Golf Positioned in First Place after Day One of the Stampede at the Creek

ELKHORN, Neb. – Three Bison are inside the top 10 as the North Dakota State women’s golf team is in first place following day one of the Stampede at the Creek at Indian Creek Golf Course on Monday afternoon.

Elise Hoven (76-74–150) paces the Bison in second place after posting a +6 for the day and is two strokes off the lead. She carded three birdies in the final round and was even on 10 holes to move up two spots in the second round into second place.

Madi Hicks (77-75–152) climbed three spots in round two to finish the day +8 and is tied for third place. She also posted three birdies and was even on nine holes in the second round. Cora Larson (79-76–155) rounds out the trio in the top 10 after she moved up three spots in the second round with the help of three birdies to sit tied for 10th place.

Hannah Dunk (77-79–156) is tied for 13th place, while Norah Roberts (83-81–164) is in 33rd place. Avery Bartels (85-80–165) closed out the group tied for 34th place. Lily Vincelli (80-78–158) is in 17th place and Jo Baranczyk (80-82–162) is tied for 27th place. Both played as Individuals.

As a team, the Bison (309-304–613) sit in first place in the seven-team tournament. South Dakota (306-309–615) is in second place and Western Illinois (317-299–616) is in third place.

NDSU will wrap up play at the Stampede at the Creek tomorrow.
